    What we want to see from you

    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • 18 years of age or older.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record in last 3 years
    • Ability to lift to 50 lbs
    • Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug test as defined by regulations and policies

    What you'll be doing

    • Provide support to people by assisting in the development and implementation of all support plans.
    • Provide interaction and choices for activities that support a meaningful day.
    • Assist people with daily needs and helping them achieve personal goals/desires as well as independence in activities of daily living.
    • Assist with information gathering for Personal Outcome Measures, and other assessments.
    • Assist people with maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly home by following safety and infection control procedures.
    • Document and report routine and unusual events in a concise, understandable, and legible manner.
    • Assist people with fiscal management while safeguarding their funds. This may include completing ledgers, reconciling accounts and assisting people with spending choices.

As a direct support professional, you may be called upon to support someone you serve by assisting them with praying, reading appropriate religious and devotional materials with them, or companioning with them in worship, Bible study, or other religious events and practices that they find meaningful and enjoy. These are but a few examples of the ways we support the spiritual choices of the people we serve. While it is not required that direct support professionals agree with any of the religious preferences of the people we serve, it is expected that these preferences will be honored and supported.
